Bought a cheap not very heavy punchbag for my son, but I will probably use it too!

Made a gallows with spare bits of wood. About 5 screws into the wall (8mm plugs). So, reckon it will be strong enough? It feels solid ...

You missed the cross brace at wall which prevents sideways leverage which may rip it if the wall .The screws should be staggered rather than in line for same reason .

Holding the weight of the static bag OK though, which is a relief.
