Hi, I want to add cable to fit an extractor fan in the future as I have pulled the plasterboard off the wall.
Do I need to add something like 1.5mm cable from the ceiling towards the consumer unit?
Thanks

Run 3 core + E. 1mm² will be more than adequate.

If you want it to operate when the light is switched on, then just a cable between the light and fan position.

Other methods might require something else.
