Hi, We have an external wall made of bungaroosh abount 3.5 sq m.
it is in a recess under a staircase and will eventually be completely hidden by a fake wall about 1m away.
The fake wall will be in the kitchen area.
I'd like to insulate the external wall. Because it will be hidden , It does not need to look pretty and I don't think it needs plasterboard so just plan to put 100cm PIR on to the wall. As bungaroosh is slightly porous I'm wondering how to mount it: eg.
- Flush to the wall,
- use treated battens (don't need to be plumb as wall is hidden by fake wall)
- use dot-and-dab
Any thoughts welcome.
