Hi, I'm wondering whether I can successfully use an endoscope and drill a hole in a floating laminate floor to see if the joists etc are damp underneath ?

Thanks

I would have thought it was quite difficult to to visually identify damp with an endoscope, dry or wet rot - yes, but unless things are a absolutely sodden down there and there is an obvious change in the colour of the timber then no. Damp problems are often associated with musty smells in the suspect area and are easily identified, visually, by the presence of dry rot fungus - now that can be seen on an endoscope
