How to connect a light switch with to 2 way

I'm trying to connect a light switch but keep getting it wrong
I will attached the old one and new one pictures .
I have seen another post but the black wires are in 1 and 2 . While mine the old it's in no. 2 both.
Any help will be much appreciated...thanks in advance

The new switch also needs an earth.

2 way means that 2 switches can turn the same lamp on and off. (Like a switch at the top and bottom of a stair case).
These would have wires in terminals 1 and 2.

What you may have is 2 gang, which turns 2 lamps on and off? (in which case only 2 terminals are used)

You have a combination of both!

Still doesn't work for some reason. I have switch the red cables incomings and the black too. But still not right...I'm always quite good with lights and plugs as soon as I get to this always multiple light switches always struggle...rather annoying.
