I've discovered plastic welders. These are brilliant and let you weld what looks like a zizag upside down staple.

There are pins left that you have to get rid of. You can use a tool to snap off 95%, but the are left with a nasty sharp bit of the pin sticking out.

What can I use to get rid of this sharp bit?

Metal file? I bought some tiny metal files - not very good.

Dremel type rotary cutter? I think this might be a good solution.

Then I thought, I could just buy a rotary drill cutter? These are available but they all seem a little too big.

Then I came across drill burrs. I'd never seen these before. These might be OK.

Any thoughts of what the best tool might be? Thanks.

If you cannot get a flush cut with an ordinary pair of wire cutters then I would have thought a grind stone in your Dremel would be the best bet

Rotary tool (like a dremel but not as expensive) with a cutting disc in then use a sanding wheel, Lidl currently have one in with all the accessories you will likely need.
