What you do depends quite a lot on what you want to end up with there - are you aiming for a path through a wildlife area, a lawn, something else?

Btw those nettle leaves are young enough that you can put on some gloves and make soup with them...

Also, I'm curious, is it cow parsnip (which is North American I think) or giant hogweed or cow parsley?

If you want to preserve the grass you need a selective killer. Ive always used Grazon 90 on lawns and grazing meadows, nettles are wilting in hours rather days.

how tall does the cow whatever grow? less that 4 feet, has to be cow parsley, over 2 metres it is in the USA and it is cow parsnip, over 3 metres and it is a notifiable plant, the council WILL want it obliterated.

Cut the grass, that will get rid of them.

I leave nettles to grow in places where they're not in the way, it's good for wildlife, and makes a good liquid fertiliser.

While taking these photos I think my hand accidentally touched nettles, stupidly I wiped rash with hot water (instead of cold) now my one hand is swollen!
I assume this is normal reaction from stinging nettles..?? Thanks
