How to delete YouTube Channel

I wanted to delete a YouTube channel, I followed the instructions in Google/YouTube and although the content has gone the channel itself is still there.

Is there a way to delete the channel entirely?

Where is it?
Just an icon? A bookmark? A shortcut? An open page?

Visit the channel you subscribed to and then click on the word that says subscribed and it will ask you if you wish to unsubscribe and you say yes.

That's it. That simple.
