How to ensure Concrete is level

I think it means you are using the top of the dpc as a guide but as your tamping below that's where the ply comes in as it means the 4x2 moves along your dpc but the ply screwed to it sits between the walls and tamps the concrete to the level you want. I Asked the same a while back.

Thanks, I thought this but my concrete level is 115mm below the dpc. So I would need a 6x2 which will be bloody heavy!

The "4x2" can be any size. The depth is set by how much lower down you fix the shorter ply piece, which sits within your walls. So in your case the ply extends 115mm below the batten.

I see you temp with the edge of the ply. I follow that now, might work but will be tripping over the DPM a bit.

It's a large area (46 sqm) I guessing I'll have about 60 mins before it starts to go off.

Manpower seems to be the key!
