Hi,
I am currently laying some wooden laminate flooring. Our doorway into the next room is quite deep so I have cur out the bottom of the door frame to allow the flooring to slide underneath. My dilemma now is how to finish off the door frame. I have attached some photos below which shows how it currently looks with the flooring in place.
As you can see I have 2 plinth blocks on the inside if the doorway underneath the architrave. The red lines on each photo is where the door will sit when it is fitted and closed.
I was thinking of putting some skirting board or something there but it won't look right as you'll just see the edge of the board when you look at it straight on.
I am open to suggestions on how to finish this. My only other option that I thought of was to fill or plaster some of the gaps at the bottom.
Thanks
