Hi group, we are in the process of buying a property which has an outside garage, I will be converting the garage to a workshop and would really like to fit a UPVC window so I can close the door and retain the heat in there. What I want to know is, do I need to fit a sill, and a lintel, the wall is x1 breeze block thick, window will be approx 1.2m x 800. I've looked around for some info on the internet but can't really find anything.
Kindest regards Dennis in West Cumbria

If you have a wooden wall plate, say, a 2" x 6", running on top of the chosen wall, then that might act as a lintel depending on the rafters/trusses.

You would be well advised to fit a frame with a sill.

Before the day of the race, perhaps post a few inside and exterior pics on here.
