How to fit this breathing slate vent ?

I have a UB 17 breathing slate. I want to fit 3 across the top of my roof, about 4 courses from the top. I thought they act just like a slate, but i cannot work out how to fit them. No vids on utube and the company was closed today for training. Hopefully they will explain to me tomorrow.

But thought i would ask here.

Move it up so those nail holes are on the batten by your hand

Yes, but when i was up there today i just couldnt work it out in my head and i ran through a few positions. If they are just like a basic slate swap then it should be easy. My first roof so all a learning curve. I hope technical can just confirm tomorrow they act as a straight swap and i dont need to go cutting out holes in tiles etc.
