AM plannign t oget the tv onto the wall after 2 years of having it sitting on a stand and was planning t ofit a swivel and tilt bracket.

It will be position where I currently have a cupboard, which I plan to board over to make it part of the surround wall - stud it out, 18 mm mdf or ply, then 9mm plasterboard to bring it out to the wall surface.

I am unsure how best to fix the bracket to the new structure - would screws into the mdf/ply board be enough? or should i use bolts and nuts on to some sort of back plate behind the stud work?

last thing i want is for the tv to come down after i have put it up!! its a 40 inch tv.

any suggestions?
