I've done it before.
It destroyed my favourite cargo shorts.
WOOD GLUE!! Grrrr!
I manged to get a drop of wood glue on it
First shorts, washed a million times - wouldn't come out.
The new pair I recently got wood glue on... I RAN to the tap and washed and scrubbed and stuck in the washing machine within minutes.
There's still a shadow of the wood glue there.

What can I do?
Use hot water? Surely that won't work?

Thanks!

???

What type of wood glue - it makes a huge difference. D2 PVA can be washed out pretty much any time. D3 and D4 glues need to be washed out immediately as some set really fast. PVA all washed out with water and detergent. If it is PU glue (polyurethane, e.g. Gorilla) it can be softened with acetone (nail polish remover)

The best solution with glues, silicone foams, resins, etc is to WEAR OLD CLOTHES , ALWAYS

@JobAndKnock it's a bad habit thinking it'll never happen again!

Vinegar - I added white wine vinegar... didn't seem to do that much.

IMPORTANT: erm... it's not wood glue this time. It's just general purpose glue I bought from Lidl sometime ago. I use it for everything. It's pretty good for most things.

See pics below I just took:

Any ideas?

After adding vinegar, I washed shorts again. No joy. Grrr!!
I was hoping there would be a magic solution that melts away the glue

Contact adhesive - try lighter fluid or Evostik solvent (in a red can)
