Hi all

Moved into a new house recently and removed a sort of media wall. I've been left with this mess of a ceiling,

What's the best way to go about repairing? I'd need to cover this wide hole before even attempting to skim over but I'm not sure the best way to go about that?

I've done small plaster repairs before but nothing with holes this big, any general advice on best way forward would be much appreciated Screenshot_20240923-212803.png

Take coving down. Look at the back of coving as different brands are different sizes. Think that is 4 inch (100mm) but could be slightly smaller depending. You need to buy the same to match in.
You need to cut out ceiling and fit new board. Watch YouTube as easy job.
Fit cove
Skim ceiling.
You can use easyfill to stick cove and skim ceiling.
