Hi all

We recently moved into a new property.
However, the curtain rod in the bedroom is really strange. Not sure if it's meant to be like this but our eyelet curtains obviously don't work. So my questions are

A) How can I hang my eyelet curtains up?
B) If not possible how can I remove those things blocking the line and either put them in a more normal place or just buy a new curtain rail?

Thanks all

On the underside of the wooden support block is a small screw holding the pole, you can just see the small black dot in the photo, so undo that and the pole will come off the supports and you can then thread the hoops of the curtain through and drop it back in place.

you would have this sort of thing
and then part of the curtain would be on the right of the support
But when Open will cover a lot of the windows/door

When i have fitted , i work out where we want the curtain to be when open , and then the post is fixed around about that point - so NOT to cover all the windows when open

seems a strange position for that support to be so far into the window area

somethimes also a screw holding the post to a base plate - OR it unscrews OR it pulls up various versions I have come across
the screw maybe at the bottom or TOP of that post ring - it screws into the pole

Thanks so I don't need to replace the current curtain pole to fit my eyelet curtains?

No just get to the point where you can take the pole out and then you need to put the curtains on the pole slide the ends through and then put the curtains on the bit the other side of the brackets
a 2 man job really has it gets very heavy and you do not want to twist the pole in the bracket -
i am assuming you have enough clearance for the pole to come out

not explaning my selef very well
