How to hide a strong but ugly fence

Thanks CapnN, I like that but isn't ivy potentially poisonous and harmful to animals? We don't want rottweilers with diarrhoea on the other side of the fence.

I find ivy a great nuisance, and difficult to kill.

I am lucky enough to live in an area with some kind of ivy mite, which killed it all except under my frutr trees which I spray.

Severing the stems and brushing them with glyphosate concentrate finished the job.

a) IHNI
b) ivy will not suffer at all if it is removed from one side of the fence.
