How to install a new electrical wall socket

Quick question guys. I'm thinking about purchasing one of these gadets : http://www.toolstation.com/shop/p63816?table=no

but never used them before. I've got quite a few sockets to do. How do I know if my drill has a roto stop feature? Cheers in advance.

P.S the drill I'm using is a dewalt D25113 800W. Will this be powerful enough ?

I have the original version and they are the dogs danglies provided the mortar is in good condition otherwise the brick (if it is brick) gets pushed back. You will need the circular cutter as well.

I'm assuming it's the picture of the drill with the 360 degree arrows around it? I've never used this function

The setting you have now is for the circular cutter. Turn it left for the box cutter.

Yeah that's what I meant. Realised after I uploaded the picture it was left on hammer to confuse things.

I bought the parts, failing this I bought a scutch chisel to help make a neat cut if I decide not to use the box cutter as the ones I've done so far I've hacked at with a hammer and bolster + drilled holes, not as bad as the idiot in that video but not still not neat, finding it fiddly to get a flush finish. Have to start monday now as no making a noise on a sunday, ****ing neighbours.

Are these box chasers ACTUALLY any good? What happens when you come across anything other than blockwork? Surely it'd just bounce off a decent brick.

They are really good when used on bricks as I said provided the mortar is in good nick. You can cut in a neat 2 gang box in a few minutes. Blocks are much easier.
