Hi, currently in the middle of a DIY garage conversion (got my PP and Building notice).
I will be fitting a WC Basin and shower. I've knocked through two wall to get under the stairs into the kitchen, luckiliy I only need to move the cooker forward to get the standard soil pipe behind all the units and closer to the stack. To get access to the stack I will be chopping out part of a kitchen unit and it will be very tight space to work in. Question, to joing the standard soil to the stack, do I have an option to drill into the stack to join the soil pipe or do I need to cut away part of the soil and fit a stack with connection, say push fit option. I would like to think there are systems out there to allow me to drill into the stack and push fit of simular the new soil pipe into stack?
Any thoughts appreciated.
Can I join the waste water from the shower and basin into the stack in the garage end, this would save another connection to the stack. Does this contravene building regs?
thanks for any input.
