Hi,

I've just had an extension to my living room built and there is a section going across the room where a lintel has been placed. There are also little pillars either side where it is restin gon.

What is the general procedure of painting in such a room i.e. we want the ceiling white and the walls cream, but which bit of the lintel bit/pillars do you do white or cream or do you just do the two main ceilings white and all the lintel, pillar bits etc cream?

Thanks

Steve

In my current house I had coving so there wasn't a problem. In the previous house the lintel I did as the wall.
I think you should look & decide what would look best & do it that way, if you dont like it you can paint it the opposite way, well thats what i would do.
