How to Plumb a Tap

Idiot's guide needed.

I've got a supply pipe in a new kitchen, and a tap in a box. What other bits are needed to make water come out in a controlled way?

I've heard mutterings about double check valves and isolator valves but ...

Usually fix the tap to a sink c/w waste. Then connect your pipes to the tap.

double check valve is only required if you are fitting the tap outside. Isolating valve if fitting inside or outside.
