Hello
Just a reminder, I am autistic and disabled, so can only do stuff on a good pain day, with nice weather. It took me 3 weeks to move my clock to the other wall.
Good pain levels now, and nice weather, so I need to rebuild my mini workshop’s roof due to leaking as I couldn’t attach the roof sheets quick enough.
I have decided that the only way I can fix these leaks is to reinstall the roof. I would still have the same issues attaching the roof sheets to the shed.
My plan, is to build an exact roof frame, attach the roof sheets while it’s on the ground, or lifted up to hip height, then lift with someone and slide the roof onto the shed frame, and screw it down from the inside going up.
When I put the sheets back on the roof, I am going to silicone it, but how can I speed up the curing process?
I will build the frame today, and as the weather is not good tomorrow I will wrap the frame in plastic wrap, this should keep everything dry, but what do I do about my shed roof that’s there now, as that is either wet, but now drying out nicely, but the wood has gone a horrible colour, would this be good to keep and sand down, would it look better? The wood from the main leak was 30+ % wet (if I read the device correctly, it now says 12%.
Should I put something in between the new frame and the old, like damp proof plastic wrap?
