How to reinstate a concrete hearth

I'm trying to open up an old fireplace, but the original concrete hearth has been removed entirely.

Can I use premixed concrete or do I need something like lime or vermiculite to cope with the heat?

I've got a cast iron fireplace to put in, so the plan is for an open fire.
