Hi,
I have a steamed up window in a double glazed UPVC tilt and turn frame. It seems it's held in by the interior trim but I can't get it off. I can get a knife/scraper in between the frame and the trim (maybe about 5mm in) but it doesn't want to ping off. I'm scared to try between the glass and the trim cos I need to get the old one out without breaking it to measure the exact size and thickness to order the replacement (the original fitter has gone bust). Any pointers?

First pic is exterior where there doesn't seem to be trim to remove, 2nd pic is the interior trim I'm trying to get off.

It's something you don't wanna try by prying it against the glass, and a flat large screwdriver with a few sharp hammering blows in one corner is all you need.

Once your in, pry off the plastic lengths with your hands.

To replace, simply align and tap back into place using a small hammer. Using large blows of the hammer trying to get it on in one go, is not such a good plan.

What you should find is the external gasket is a wedge gasket that pulls out. Once thats out the internal beads should come out easily

Thanks Gazman 16, I'll check whether that gasket will pull out first.
