Really random question I guess, but I realised last night that my sons have been posting toys and other stuff up the flue of our gas fire. The fire is disconnected from the gas supply as we don't use it. I can't work out how to get the fire out so I can retrieve all the stuff behind it. Any ideas?!
I've (hopefully) added a pic of the fire.

Well the metal frame does slide off, but there's no fixings behind it. I can wobble the fire freely in the hole, just not get it out. I'm wondering whether I'd have to take off the whole surround to get it out?

Need to get down low the pipework will be fixed at floor level and may be all that's keeping it in

Thanks - will have a peek, although it feels like it's fixed about half way up each side which is what has me flummoxed.
