Hello

The First Floor of a house carpeted a couple of years ago has a section, joined with Carpet Joiner and now badly frayed.

I expected it could cut away and joined with left over material but a carpet fitter has said, with explanation/description, that as it is budget carpet it will be difficult to effect proper joining.

With some additional carpet rectification it seems its not worth his while.

I have attached a photo. Please advise what I can do with it and whether those glue guns I heard about could help.

Thank you.

The carpet can be seamed in the normal way, but it will be very apparent that a repair has been made.
