Hi there, great forum BTW, I'm getting lots of good info here!

I'm in the process of tidying up the outside of the house, removing an old sky dish and old trellis that have been screwed to the house and have been left with lots of drill holes in the brickwork and mortar.

The holes in the mortar should be easy enough to repair but I would like to know the best way of repairing the drill holes in the brickwork for mainly aesthetic reasons. Is there a special product for this? I have done various searches but can't seem to find any answers!

All advice gratefully received! :)

Just fill with mortar, and these tend to be unobtrusive.

If you wanted to, you could add some dye or brick dust to match the existing.

Or a coloured mastic

The remedy that has been passed down to me is, and it works!

If the holes are not too big, I have just filled with clear silicone

and then get some brick dust, use same brick as walls, (smash with

hammer) and pat into the surface. You do have a job to find these

afterwards!

Hope this helps.

Excellent ideas! Cheers Woody and Sonny! Luckily I have some bricks that are the same type as the house. Thanks!

I would go with mortar and brick dust myself....much more resilient
