I have ordered a new oven thermocouple (flame failure device) for my SMEG SUK60GX 60cm free-standing cooker. I removed the bottom panel from the inside of the oven and I can see the sensor end, which sits in the flame. Before I start to take the sides off can anyone give me any tips as to where the other end of the thermocouple goes and what I need to remove to get to it?

Well it was reasonably easy in the end. Just used common sense - took the bottom panel off and could access the sensor end. Then took the plate under the burners off and could access the other end. All works OK now :D
