With the red led, there must be a fault code displayed too? Try resetting the boiler using the switch, (off is reset using the boiler switch). Why do you want to drain the system?
it gives the number 10. i have turned on and off the boiler several times. in still getting the same error. in terms of draining i want to know for info purposes n also want to see if it makes a difference
This code isn't associated with system pressure. Are you on a pre-pay gas meter? The code is a flame failure code. As such, if your gas is on at the meter and this code persists, you will need the services of a RGI to sort it. It's not something you can work on yourself.
As for the system pressure loss, you may have a small leak on the system somewhere. Draining and refilling your system isn't going to make this ignition/flame failure fault code go away, or cure the leak.
I managed to fix it. i opened up the boiler and cleaned up a rubber pipe that goes from the right side of the boiler to the centre. and before u know it works like a charm now.
As to finding out how to draining the boiler i just need it for informative purposes. So I know how to use my boiler.
