We are having our driveway done and when our front garden was dug up, this gas pipe was found. We have had SGN out who said either sink it or safely reinforce it.
It was already under concrete when it was found.
Sinking is going to take 6-8 weeks. We need our driveway laid. Would a trench only be dug around the gas pipe to sink it?
If we just decided to leave as is and create an extra concrete step down? How best should we reinforce it? Protect it in tubing and compound with sand so concrete doesn’t touch it and that allows for movement?
