We have a kitcehn extractor hood that vents straight through the wall to the outside. I have fitted a cowl with flaps on the outside and a "flap valve" in the duct. However, neither works properly.

I have seen a variety of cowls and hoods, wonder whether anyone can recommend an effective, efficient way to preventback-draught without stopping the extractor from actually venting?

Thank you.
