how to test washing machine door lock

just for future ref., is there as way of testing the lock?

previous w.m had a fault where t safety lock failed to operate.
thought it was the lock and changed it but the fault continued, so must've been the pcb or connection.

is there a way of testing using a multimeter?

There is a way of testing the door lock just like there is a way of replacing the door seal in your previous post !!!
