Hi,

Any ideas on how to trace a possible leak in the central heating system? System keeps losing pressure, and after a recent 3 day stay away from home (system not running) pressure was was down to zero and boiler wouldn't fire without topping up? It's not an expansion vessel problem, and I've checked all the rad connections and accessible connections, so assume it's one of the inacessible (under the floor) connections? Any tips as to how to locate possible leak - want to avoid lifting all floors as much as possible?

System is a sealed system running a Baxi Megaflow System Boiler (Condensing).

Thanks

Henrik

Turn off boiler Iso lation valves to try to isolate leak.
Triple check the pressure relief valve - put a bag over it.

Methods then include
_ Thermal imaging
_ Acoustics (ultrasonic)
_ Hydrogen gas diffusion
_ Cheap perfume
