Hey guys,

At times when there is wind blowing and I have one of the windows open there is an occasional howling noise that comes from my two front windows!

Now recently I had an issue with my bedroom window that, in my opinion should have joined a pop group, as it did nothing but whistle! I discovered, with the help of some good chap on here, that it was a hole in the silicone on the outside of the window. I am wondering if this is the same problem I have with the above issue? In fact I'm sure it is.

uPVC windows.

What is my plan of attack, who di I ring that would come out and reseal the windows?

Thanks in advance

your problem is very common. i have even give it a name - reeding.

the silicone can actually split thus providing the instrument for reeding.

re-sealing the join between window and masonry should help.
