How's your luck with Premium Bonds?

Just topped my holding up to the max. They won’t go in the draw until June though. It’s only what I roughly expect to pay in capital gains tax on the workshop sale so I might as well leave it in there until the end of the year.

I can always 'do a Notch' and buy another £50k's worth next month… ;)
is capital gains on a business premises sale different from on a house sale ? were it needs to be paid within 60 days . Dont want you getting caught out

No, £50k is the maximum.
You can retain a bond holding for up your a year after death so technically possible to have two sets of maximum holdings, one as executor, one as individual. In the same way you could twice and differently at a referendum, once as the voter and once as a proxy voter.

Thanks.,Yeah. CGT on Domestic properties must be paid within 60 days, everything else CGT wise goes on your submissions at the end of the tax year and paid in January. Just got to double check with my accountant but there’s something called Business Asset Disposal Relief so as I see it, it should be a flat 10% for us as we sold in March and not the new 28% CGT that Rachel brought in. I’m setting aside the 28% though and anything less will be a bonus.

why are you putting money on bonds, why arent you putting the money in Tesla, like you keep on recommending...............
have you been tracking TSLA lately - you might want to keep a low profile on that one.
