Hptpoint DX892 CX

I recently had a Hotpoint DX892 CX double oven installed where the lower oven can be used as a normal or a fan oven, however when I cook using the normal oven the fan comes on intermittently, but fairly frequently, is this a feature of this oven?
I spoke to Hotpoint who said that the fan will come on when first switched on but they couldn't answer if the fan will come on during cooking in normal mode.

I would be grateful for any help.

Yes this is normal. It needs to disperse the heat out .
