I need to lower the humidity in my home. I plan on installing a heat recovering vent or energy recovering vent. Does anyone know which to install and any major difference in the two. My home is in cental MN and yes believe me or not I need to lower my humidity level in my home. 42% is my lowest I can get and at times I get condensation on my windows. thanks

Why not cut the moisture generation?

Or buy a dehumidifier?

:D I like to breath ,shower, cook, laundry, dishwasher these all release moisture into the air.

:( dehumidifier is hard on the elec. bill and does't seem to lower the humidity enough or bring in fresh air.

Then you need to improve the ventilation.

I used to have a heat recoverery ventlation thing, but they are very uncommon in houses over here (this is a UK website). External temperature here today is 15C.

just thought ya might know the difference in the two. I got -8F now, colder weather on the way for this weekend.
