Hi. I am trying to use a Head Unit Display on a van from 2004, a Renault Traffic II, but it isn't working.

That HUD worked perfectly on a 2007 Nissan Micra and worked with half functionalities on another van, this one from 2000.

The HUD, connected to the OBDII port, starts itself when the van is started, and it shows signs of trying to read the information. After aprox 1 minute without giving any results, it turns off.

Won't any HUD work in that van? Any idea how I could fix this?

Need to know the oil consumption!
Thanks

Surely the HUD will only show you information you can get from the dash, just projected on to the screen so that you don’t need to take your eyes off the road? As far as I know, there is nothing in any car or van that will tell you your oil consumption.

Fuel consumption?
Yes, sorry. Languages problems haha

You are right. Oil consumption can't be checked, but usually fuel can be. What I am looking for is the fuel consumption, and if it can't be monitored by the HUD maybe anyone knows another way to do it, but I am afraid that it if it's not possible through the OBDII port, it won't be possible in any other way.

What do you think?

I don't think you'll get the fuel consumption on your HUD as that information is usually given beside the trip meter.

The Hud gives this information. I had that HUD connected to another car and it's part of the info that gives to you.
