Hi guys,

My Manrose bathroom extractor fan has started to become quite noisy (sounds like a loose bearing) and I need to replace it.

I'm looking for a new fan that is quiet and has humiditstat. I don't like the idea of the fan running uneccesarily when I'm just going in the bathroom to wash my hands or brush my teeth. What are other people's experiences with humidistats on bathroom extractor fans?

When a plumber did one of our bathrooms five years ago we had a humidity-based fan installed. The problem was that it either ran all the time or never, depending on the setting. I was wondering whether the new ones are still like this?

I'm thinking of getting the SILENT-100 CHZ found here http://www.justfans.co.uk/silent-100-extractor-fan-p-427.html . Anyone used this before?

Thanks,

Richard
