I have a Vokera Excell 80E combi boiler that has had an ongoing intermit. problem for ages.
The CH works OK and the HW works most of the time, however, often it gets hot then runs tepid (if CH is on) or stone cold (if CH off). Sometimes it won't get hot at all.
This tends to be a problem when we're running our Mira 415 shower (ie we get a cold shower), but also when taps are running - Hence me legging it up and down the stairs with kettles for my kids' bath last night
I don't know if it is related, but we also often get a strange groaning noise if the heating is on and we use, then turn off the HW. The noise usually stops after a second or two, but sometimes continues until the HW is turned on and off again.
The engineers keep coming out to it and have so far replaced the diaphragm (and leaking stuffing gland?) which seemed to improve matters for a while, but it's up to its old tricks once more - and I can never get the problem to show itself when they are here
Anyone have any suggestions please - I think my wife is considering leaving me if she gets another early morning cold shower
