I've recently found out that hydrogen can form in CH radiators. As hydrogen is obviously a highly flammable gas why is there no mention of it in the safety instructions in the System Manual? At least not in mine.

Is this because the amount involved is tiny? Sometimes almost the whole radiator is cool. I would have thought this volume of gas would create a real hazard. Or not??

The reason it is not mentioned in the manual, is that is is assumed that system water is correctly treated and therefore gassing will not occur. If you are having this problem then I would suggest your system water has not been dosed correctly. It is not dangerous, but should be addressed.
