Had to have a quick look now Didn't follow the attic yet but am will confirm by doing that tomorrow.

I have a 15mm pipe coming down into a really tight u bend then up into 22mm pip that then also goes to pump.

No wonder that u bend gets blocked!! MAybe the design is to protect the pump (deposits are thrown down and leave water flow), they use this design on diesel engine fuel delivery to protect pump. But at least with that you can clean it and change filters!

Well the sytem must have trickle fed overnight as it worked this morning

Just bled radiators and all is good now.

I may still sort out that u bend though. I am decorating whole house, so after the next room I will most likely have same problem again!
