Not a cat in hells chance, just one in the chest would more than likely be fatal.

There is medical aid and there are people who like to think that they know first aid, it would be more in the interest of the injured to separate the two types and only allow a real medic to aid someone who is critically injured, she didn't need a plaster putting on her wounds.

I have mixed feelings about this ICE stuff in the States. Yes it can be argued that it's good to see a country getting tough on illegal immigrants, however I wonder if what we're seeing is almost going from one extreme to the other.

Trump was keen to reiterate during his Davos speech that ICE is almost exclusively going after hardened criminals and wrong 'uns in general. According to Trump, ICE isn't going after people they know are living their illegally but are living decent ordinary lives e.g. working in the service industry and the like. MMmmm, I'm not convinced some of the stories we're seeing back that up.

When it comes to the UK, as we've discussed on here many times, yes we need much tougher immigration controls, legal, illegal, small boats, the whole lot. And we need more effective removal processes. However, would I want to see groups of armed men with their faces covered combing various areas in various towns and cities? No.

Trump is obviously lying or completely naive to what ICE is doing. I suggest the former.

The US rarely take a soft approach to law enforcement. Tough prison sentences, high percentage of the population locked up, lots of people shot and killed each year, many unarmed. Miscarriages of justice, locked up without trial.

Been this way for a long time. Nothing special about trumps approach.

There will always be the bad apple in the cart. You cannot tar them all with the same brush, they are doing a tough job that is hard enough without people picking on them for everything they do wrong. Mistakes will be made, that is just human nature John.
