i would assume the "overload relay" would electricly stop the compressor

so the fact its running rules that out!!!!!

is the element at the back getting hot try at different heights!!!

hi

yes the element/compressor is runing hot

jon

no expert but suspect its low on coolant although having said that i would expect the top half of the element to be cooler as its empty!!!!!

when you say element, do you mean compressor
not sure
it's a work fridge, and i would ike if possable it get going

when you look at the back do you have a wire mesh covering a large area connected to the compressor giving out heat!!!!

egnore the compressor it will be hot so should all the mesh from top to bottom

try turning it off for a day then turn it on again it may help but i doubt it
also if the top of the element[mesh]dos'nt warm up within 20 mins its probably short of gas

having said all that if its a comercial machine different rules may apply

have it on this morning , will leave it on for an hour to see, no element at back , just compressro
