help. i have an icon 23t boiler and ever since the water board repaired a leak in the road it caused air in my boiler. at first nothing would work except the heating, now all the hot taps work but my grohe shower will not heat. at first you could hear the air in the boiler but hat has now stopped . any ideas, apart from throwing the boiler away would be appreciated.

if all your hot taps work ok and not the shower, then its the shower thats the problem not the boiler. I would contact the water people as they may have got debris in the pipework, so you maybe able to recover costs of repair to the shower.
Thanks for the advice, think you may have been right. after persevering with the shower its now working. its gone from not working or firing up the boiler, running cold, to firing the boiler intermittent, to working as it used to. I did run the shower on its lowest heat setting so it would only run the cold water through then gradually raised the heat up to its max.
