ID tiny flies please.

Bottom right corner is the top of a ballpoint pen top, for scale. My apologies for the size of the image.

The photo is of three tiny dead flies (the black smudges in an horizontal row), on my downstairs toilet window sill. Downstairs toilet in the warm weather, was open to the exterior, but I have an inner outside door, fitted with a very effective fly screen, preventing flies getting into the house iteself - effective for all but some of these tiny but annoying little things, which sometimes get through.

They look like just normal flies, just very tiny. Anyone know what they are please?

I have just looked Cluster Flies up and they are much bigger than these little blighters - wiki says 8mm. These are maybe 2mm.

1/8" possibly, but maybe wrong colour, these are black, like a miniature house fly.

Drain flies aka Moth flies aka sewer flies aka filter flies? Short wide wings.
They hop rather than fly.
There's an infinite number of little fly species!

Some of the drain flies have more prominent eyes than this
