Check your meter, it will show you which, take a photo of it, then check what your bill says about M3, or Imperial - if they do not agree, email Ovo the photo.

I've spoken to them at length, sent them the meter photo and shared my data. FYI - yesterday's usage according to the meter was 14.3m3, and OVO reporting as 448kwh! My calculation works out at 158kwh. Does that make sense?

448 kWh is 1422 cubic feet which could be incorrectly converted / rounded in some way to your 14.3 measurement - it does sound like some kind of conversion / calculation error.

What did they say when you gave them the info?

For reference, I have a 4 bed detached and we used 419.2 kWh for the whole of last week.

Unable to pull from OVO, but took the number they reported and added to the meter readings. Hope this helps.

For reference, I have a 4 bed detached and we used 419.2 kWh for the whole of last week.

I think they realised there was an error and put a hold on the account for 30 days. Not really sure what that means other than perhaps no further upward movement on my DD from the recent increase to £590 per month!!!! They're so kind

Thank you. Yes, I've used that and tbh was what first alerted me to how similar the kWh numbers were if I pressed the imperial option.

Youv'e averaged 12.36m3/day, 12.36*11.0, ~ 136kWh/day.

They seem to have taken the unit readings as ft3x100 and x by 31.66 to give kWh, a nice little earner.

Oh that's a shame. The app normally shows usage in kWh as well as the meter readings in m3. I would have liked to have seen that screenshot! It's all very suspicious. I can't imagine how it's happened. Bizarre.

Those are the kWh numbers reported on the app daily. Just wasn't available in the same format. Here's where I got the kwh data from.

Thanks. It's crazy. It can't just be you. These things are done by software programming. Did you say others on a forum are having the same problem?

I would contact BBC Watchdog or Which magazine.
