Hi everyone,

looked at the above boiler today and it seems to have an intermittant fault. The heating seems to work fine for several hours but every now and then the burner cuts out and doesn't fire back up. The o/heat stat doesn't cut off and the pump keeps running but it doesn't fire back up at all unless you turn it off and on again at the fused spur. The heating temp sensor and p.c.b have both been changed fairly recently so It shouldn't be either of them at fault unless they were dodgy parts when fitted. Everything else appears to be fine and the fault doesn't occur on every use. Anyone had a similar fault with this boiler? It's about 6 yrs old.

cheers for any input. :D

Have you watched the flow switch?

Have you removed the switch and felt the push?

have you measured the "ON" resistance of the flow switch?
