The boiler seems to work normally ,then every other day or so randomly the heating systems fails to switch on even though thermostat is in on position.

Anyone got an idea - I already chaned programmer, as if you reboot at wall switch it resumes work perfectly.Should I try new pcb?

No, not yet. When it doesn't fire you need to check if there is 240VAC at the boiler terminals.

If there is, it is a boiler fault, if there isn't it is an external control fault. I would suspect a zone valve if the latter is the case.

Thnx Dave

where do you check for the 240 V on the boiler?
My brother also suggested the valve ,but how could this cause an intermitent fault?rectified by my switch off of systems at mains supply, as I do regularly..

Drop the controls cover down and at the back right of the boiler you should clearly see the main terminal block connection.

Be very careful with 240VAC testing
