BG just finished putting in new pump and valves and said old one was blocked up with rubbish like chunks of metal. Still a job to get downstairs rads to get hot but switched off all rads apart from one downstairs and its now getting hot. He said to switch each rad downstairs in turn for about 30 mins until it gets hot. Advised that we may need Powerflush and gave a price of a couple of quid short of £600.
Will try using Fernox cleaner first and if that helps put Fernox protector in as well.
